Visit from the President of ASHRAE

At LMSI – Engineering, we had the privilege of welcoming William McQuade, President of ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers), the world’s leading reference in the fields of HVAC&R, energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality, and environmental sustainability

It was an important moment of knowledge sharing, commitment, and participation within the ASHRAE structure, fostering closer alignment with the international trends that are transforming building and infrastructure engineering, while reinforcing LMSI’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and technical excellence.

Founded in 1894, ASHRAE develops technical standards, research, and best practices that influence the design, construction, and operation of buildings worldwide, playing a decisive role in the evolution of the sector.

In Portugal, the connection to ASHRAE has a relevant history. The ASHRAE Portugal Chapter, of which Eng. Luís Malheiro was its first president, actively collaborates with various national entities in promoting knowledge and the technical advancement of the sector.

This meeting with William McQuade at our company was highly inspiring, enabling the sharing of a common vision for the future of more efficient, sustainable, and future-ready building and infrastructure engineering, prepared for the challenges of the coming decades.
